A Blessed Christmas to You

This morning we want to wish you a blessed Christmas.
We hope you are able to rejoice in Christmas and spend it in the company of your loved ones.

This Christmas is very special for us.

You see, a little before Christmas last year my doctor told me, “It is curtains for you.”
It seemed unlikely that I would see another Christmas.

He had just found cancer in my oesophagus.
My wife and I left his office very subdued.

What followed was 2017, a year we will remember for its serious surgery and long and difficult recovery periods. Mostly though we will remember the words of the specialist who performed the surgery,

“We got it all. You are cancer free. I’ll see you for a check-up in a year’s time.”

My wife and I left his office rejoicing.

Today it is Christmas 2017, the Christmas I didn’t think to see.
Our hearts are full. God had been good to us. We are very thankful.

We full hearts we wish you a blessed Christmas too.
