Do you know who Maxcy Filer is?
In 1966 he took the California bar exam for the first time at age 36.
After 25 years...
...$50,000 in fees for exams and countless review courses...
...a total of 144 days spent in testing rooms...
...and that doesn't count studying time...
...at the age of 61...
...Maxcy Filer took the bar exam for the 48th time and passed!
I know what some of you are thinking...
"geez dude give up already"
"how stupid could he be to fail that many times"
"I would never waste my times trying that many times"
Here's Maxcy's reasoning.
"Because I couldn't possibly quit. I don't quit. I looked at it from the standpoint that the bar was passable, and one day I would succeed and I wasn't giving up."
He knew the law.
He was a smart guy.
So why couldn't he pass the bar?
He didn't test well!
Maxcy and his family had faith in his ability to pass.
It just took some extra time.
Words of wisdom from Maxcy...
"Keep going. Say ' I will do it' and you will."So the next time you start doing something and want to quit...
...after 3 hours or 3 days or 3 weeks...
Remember Maxcy!
Be tenacious.
Believe in yourself and your abilities.
Sometimes the best things take a lot longer to achieve than you expected.
I have been working at this business since October of 2017.
Have I wanted to give up at times?
Definitely!!!
Have I given up?
DEFINITELY NOT!!!
I am driven to make the life I want.
I am 55 years old so not a spring chicken by any means.
But I have lots of living to do...
